- PUBLICITY RELEASE:
I hereby fully and unconditionally, on my own behalf and on behalf of my child (ren) /dependant(s), hereby consent thereto and grant to Flairs Sports Academy (PTY) Ltd (FLAIRS), Plumstead Gymnastics Club (PLUM GYM) and Claremont Gymnastics Club (CLARE GYM), its employees, licensees, assign, agents and / or representatives rights to photograph, film or otherwise record my and/or my child’s image and/or likeness and/or voice and to copyright, publish, distribute and use such image or recording without my name and/or the name of my child(ren)/dependant(s) and for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to publicity, illustration, advertising, social media, broadcasting and web content.
- GYMNASTICS SA IMAGE USE WAIVER:
By entering the competition venues and participating in the Gymnastics SA and their affiliated members events, I understand that my image may be captured accidentally on live streaming, photographs, television coverage and or other mediums utilized during the competition. Whilst every effort will be made to ensure those who do not expressly consent to direct images being utilized, it is not possible to ensure that images are not caught accidentally in the general activity in the building or as part of the competition. Gymnastics South Africa and their affiliated members will take the necessary measures to ensure that once the photographs, television coverage and or other mediums utilized during the competition is used thereafter, that it will go through an editing process to as far as reasonably practicable remove and or edit out those participants who did not give express consent.
- GYMNASTICS SA PHOTOGRAPHY RELEASE:
I declare that by entering these events, I consent and grant to Gymnastics SA, its employees, agents and / representatives rights to photograph, film or otherwise record my image and/or likeness and/or voice and to copyright, publish, distribute and use such image or recording for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to publicity, illustration, advertising, social media, broadcasting and web content.
- FEES & PAYMENT TERMS:
All Term fees are payable in advance and charged per term. The full term’s fees are due and payable by 25
January (Term 1), 25 April (Term 2), 25 July (Term 3) and 01 October (Term 4). Should the term’s fees not be fully paid within the first two weeks of the term (and no other payment arrangements have been made and adhered to), we reserve the right to charge interest of 10% per month on all outstanding amounts. We are registered with Accountability, Channel Partners of all major Credit Bureaus in South Africa. They will be assisting us with the recovery of outstanding monies to be collected, therefore please do make sure to pay timeously on the date given that is stipulated to avoid steps being taken. Should we be required to hand you over to Accountability for recovery of money owing, R150 will be added to your account to cover the costs thereof.
An additional deposit fee will be charged when first signing up and is payable immediately to secure initial sign up. One calendar month’s written notice must be given of termination of membership of the gymnast/member. Failure to do so will result in the loss of the deposit. Should one calendar’s month’s written notice be given and all outstanding fees are paid in full, the additional deposit will be refunded in full, excluding interest.
Membership fees for the year are payable immediately on sign up for the 2024 year and include the SAGF annual registration fee.
The signatory hereto on behalf of the gymnast/member accepts full liability for payment of all prescribed fees. There will be no reduction or cancellation of fees due to illness or non-attendance of class for whatever reason neither will these classes be made up at another time. No classes will be held on public holidays or during school holidays unless otherwise specified. We guarantee a minimum of 8 lessons per term. One calendar month’s written notice must be given of termination of membership of the gymnast/member. Failure to do so can result in a full term’s fees being due and payable and the loss of the deposit.
- PoPI ACT COMPLIANCE
In terms of the Compliance to the Protection of Personal Information Act (PoPIA), also known as the POPI Act., we only collect data that we require for administrative and registration as well as for statistical reporting purposes. We apply reasonable security measures to protect all your data.
By registering with Flairs Sports Academy (PTY) Ltd (FLAIRS), Plumstead Gymnastics Club (PLUM GYM) or Claremont Gymnastics Club (CLARE GYM) and Gymnastics SA and entering or participating in any event, gymnasts/participants and their parents/guardians (where applicable) hereby accept and acknowledge that the disclosure of certain information may be necessary to facilitate or allow for the relevant gymnasts/participants to register and enter or participate in these event in question.
The gymnasts/participants and their parents/guardians (where applicable), hereby give all necessary consents and approvals for Flairs Sports Academy (PTY) Ltd (FLAIRS), Plumstead Gymnastics Club (PLUM GYM) or Claremont Gymnastics Club (CLARE GYM) and Gymnastics South Africa, and all their agents/officials or similar, to divulge, use or disclose the supplied information, documents or similar and acknowledge that the spirit and purpose of this event cannot be pursued or fulfilled without disclosing, using or divulging the afore-mentioned information, documents or similar.
- SAFEGUARDING COMPLIANCE
By registering with Gymnastics SA and by entering their and their affiliated members events I agree to abide by all of Gymnastics SA Safeguarding regulations, including, but not limited to ensuring my family, friends or supporters are also aware of these rules. This includes parents only recording images or recordings of their own child’s participation and results. Any form of harassment or abuse will not be tolerated, this includes verbal, emotional and physical.
- INDEMNITY:
When joining the Flairs family you will be required to sign the following:

I, the undersigned acknowledge that I understand the safety aspects pertaining to the participation by my child / participant in any SOUTH AFRICAN GYMNASTICS FEDERATION (SAGF), WESTERN CAPE GYMNASTICS ASSOCIATION (WCGA), CAPE TOWN GYMNASTICS ASSOCIATION (CTGA), FLAIRS SPORTS ACADEMY (PTY) LTD (FLAIRS), PLUMSTEAD GYMNASTICS CLUB (PLUM GYM) and CLAREMONT GYMNASTICS CLUB (CLARE GYM) activity, and that I accept the risks which are inherent in the participation in the aforementioned.
By signing below, I hereby indemnify and absolve SAGF, WCGA, CTGA, FLAIRS, PLUM GYM, CLARE GYM, the Committee, its officers and individuals officiating SAGF, WCGA, CTGA, FLAIRS, PLUM GYM and CLARE GYM members from any liability to the participant or to me of any claim, of any nature whatsoever and howsoever caused to the participant and/or me which may arise from injury, illness, damage, loss, mishap, accident or any other occurrence, resulting from the participant’s participation in any meeting, expedition, field trip, event, activity, competitions, displays, including traveling to and from or service held under the auspices of the SAGF, WCGA, CTGA, FLAIRS, PLUM GYM and CLARE GYM or sanctioned by SAGF, WCGA, CTGA, FLAIRS, PLUM GYM and CLARE GYM.
I confirm that participation in all Gymnastics SA and its affiliated members events is voluntary and by entering, indemnify Gymnastics South Africa, and all their agents against any claim whatsoever, which may be brought against them by me or any third party or other person claiming on my behalf, arising out of injury, illness, damage, loss, mishap, accident or any other occurrence to me or my property as a result of attending this event, including travelling to and from the event. I am aware of the risks of participating in gymnastics activities and voluntarily accept such risks for me or my minor. I further confirm that Gymnastics SA, nor any of their affiliated members is not responsible for any injury (or loss of property) to any person while practicing, training, taking class, competing, participating in open gym, special events, demonstrations or shows, or in any other way involved in gymnastics, rope skipping, or teams for any reason whatsoever.
I am aware of the risks of participating in gymnastics activities and as such, I hereby voluntarily and willingly assume full and complete responsibility for all losses and damages, including injury, illness, and death, that I, or my minor, may suffer. Parents/guardians (where applicable) also voluntarily and willingly assume full and complete responsibility for all losses and damages, including injury, illness, and death, that they may suffer.
In so doing I acknowledge that I am aware of the risks to which the participant and I might be exposed as a result of such participation and voluntarily accept all such risks. I further indemnify SAGF, WCGA, CTGA, FLAIRS, PLUM GYM and CLARE GYM, its officers and leaders against any claim or legal proceedings instituted by myself or any third party which may arise from taking part in any activity organized by SAGF, WCGA, CTGA, FLAIRS, PLUM GYM and/or CLARE GYM. I accept that the participant and I participate in SAGF, WCGA, CTGA, FLAIRS, PLUM GYM and CLARE GYM activities entirely at our own risk.
Furthermore I, herewith indemnify SAGF, WCGA, CTGA, FLAIRS , PLUM GYM and CLARE GYM as well as any of its/his/her employees against any lawsuit, prosecution and/or actions that may arise as a result of injuries sustained or death during transport provided by SAGF, WCGA, CTGA, FLAIRS , PLUM GYM and/or CLARE GYM.
I declare that I have read and understand the meaning and implication of the fees, publicity releases, PoPI Act Compliance, Safeguarding Compliance and this indemnity.
